Family Horses
MISTY ROSE MYSTRY is a 15.2 hh 1/2
Arabian-1/2 Appaloosa bay mare foaled May
19, 1991. She is registered with the IAHA.
Misty is our oldest daughter's horse. She is
a natural in Reining and Endurance. This
was one of the first horses we bought after
moving to Washington state in 1993. Misty
has proven to be such a loving and loyal
companion that she will never leave our
family.
RAMA'S REBEL STAR is the son of Misty. We
traded a gelding for his breeding. He was foaled
in Port Orchard, WA. June 10, 1997. Reb's our
"grampa gelding". He has always been kind and
gentle, letting me ride bareback with a 2 year old.
He has always shown concern and care for his
rider or handler. Like his dam, Reb is a true joy
to be around and will never leave here. He is
reg. with the IAHA as a 3/4 Arabian. He tops out
at 16.2 HH.
Tallie is our oldest daughter's first purchase.
This mare was owned by some people who did
not know much about animals and sorely
abused Tallie. When our daughter first saw
Tallie it was 3 years ago. Tallie had been tied to
a railroad tie and left with a halter on that was
too small and had grown into the mare's face.
When the people who owned Tallie decided to
sell her to our daughter in late Feb. 2007, she
was seriously underweight and had been
abused to the point of refusing to allow anyone
near her. Our daughter bought her for $250.00.
Already Tallie is starting to trust our daughter
and gain weight under her care. Tallie is
showing a lot of promise and is looking to be a
long-time companion for our daughter. Though
she appears to be pure Arabian, she was sold
as unregistered.
DOTS N SPOTS OFPEPPER.
"Lacey" is a 16.1 hh reg. APHA mare who was
foaled May 24, 2000. She came to us abused
and very scared. Her shoes were too small and
her bit had rubbed raw spots on the corners of
her mouth. It took us a lot of time, repeat visits
from our farrier and some B-Calm just to pull the
shoes after we'd gotten her home. After we'd
gotten her shoes off, Lacey was allowed to
remember what it was like to be a horse. We
can now approach Lacey any time we want as
well as do her feet (she used to be terrified of
this process), de-worm her and now ride her.
She is a true love to be around and like the
others we have gotten from abusive situations
has proven to be an absolute joy to be around.
We use Lacey as a "nanny" mare and to help
acclimate new foals and mares to our farm.
WARPAINTS HOTNROWDEE was foaled
Feb. 21, 2000. He was bred by Linda Ware
on the BLW Ranch in Oregon. "Rowdee" is
my husband's horse as well as the field
clown. Talk about personality! This boy
takes the halters off of horses lined up for
trims, pulls saddles off of horses being
ridden and will un-tack any horse he can
reach. Rowdee has the mentality of a
pre-teen who loves mischief and fun. He
adores my husband and follows him around
everywhere. He's so funny and goofy that
no-one here can think of ever parting with
Rowdee. He seems destined to be a
permanent stress relief with his perpetual
comedy acts. At 16 hh Rowdee is just a big
kid.

LSR SPANISH KING
AQHA/NFQHA/FQHA
LSR Spanish King (smaller colt) was recently
purchased by our oldest daughter. She has
decided to geld him. He is sweet and loyal.
He definitely makes her other horse, Tallie
VERY jealous!
